Clairemont Goes Blue!

Clairemont CA52 2014The latest precinct-by-precinct vote tally in the hard-fought 52nd Congressional District campaign between Congressman Scott Peters and Tea Party’s Carl DeMaio, shows that our Clairemont community overwhelmingly supported Scott Peters’s re-election.

DeMaio was held to no more than 52% of the vote in his best-performing precinct, only winning five — two of those five by a small plurality. Meanwhile, Scott Peters won four Clairemont precincts with over 60% of the vote, and won everything else!

Congratulations, Scott!

Upcoming Events: September 2014

San DIego City Council District 6 candidate, Carol Kim

San Diego City Council District 6 candidate, Carol Kim

Hey, Clairemont Democrats!

Wanted to keep you informed of these two upcoming events, hosted by Rhoda Quate:

First up, there’s a Clairemont fundraiser for Carol Kim on Tuesday, September 16 at 5:30pm. Minimum contribution is $100. We’d love to have you there in support of Carol even if you’re able to contribute a smaller amount.

With the minimum wage issue front-and-center on the minds of San Diegans, this election for Carol Kim is important!

For more information about the fundraiser for Carol Kim, please check out this flyer: Carol Kim Fundraiser Flyer 9-16-2014

scott-peters-finalFinally, there will be a house party for Congressman Scott Peters on Saturday, September 20 at 1:30pm. This is a perfect opportunity to turnout, invite your neighbors, and meet our Congressman.

Polls show Carol and Scott in close, margin-of-error elections against their Tea Party opponents, and they can’t win without a strong show of support from Clairemont.

If you cannot attend one of the events, please plan on attending the other. These are must-win races for our community!

2 Months Until Election Day!

10687482_10152363342906943_2914455637278851899_oWe have 2 months until Election Day, and absentee ballots drop in only 31 days.

Folks, now is the time to step up and volunteer to help elect our Democratic candidates up and down the ticket.

The two most important races this year are focused in Clairemont — Carol Kim for City Council, and Scott Peters for Congress.

Polls are showing Carol Kim and Scott Peters in margin-of-error races against Tea Party-backed candidates, and we can’t afford let them down when they need our help and support. Most voters don’t start paying attention to candidates and campaigns until after Labor Day and — well, it’s after Labor Day.

If we going to win these races, we have to get involved now!
